Job Description
The successful applicant will be required to support the ROSM in the day to day running of the Embassy Security team alongside the LE Security Manager. Assist in resolving issues between members of the public and staff at Visa and Consular Public Areas and working on physical security tasks as specified by the ROSM.
The main duties will include:
• Regular checks of the guard force and perimeter security checks. • Creating staff passes for new and temporary staff. • Monitoring of CCTV system for motion alarms. • Checking pass access system on regular basis.• Security checks of Visa and Consular Public Areas.• Weekly alarm tests of the fire, bomb and incident alarms.• Responsibility for Satellite phone and radio administration and testing.• Security administration for external functions, press and visitors.• To assist the ROSM with implementing the Post Fire and Emergency procedures.• Report on security matters and prepare local security instructions under the direction of the ROSM.• To undertake ad hoc projects as and when assigned by the ROSM or Deputy Post Security Officer
Person Specification• Good interpersonal skills are essential. The job requires tact, patience and an ability to respond quickly and efficiently to security incidents. The successful candidate should demonstrate an ability to remain calm under pressure and must be a good team player.
• IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook are essential.
• Previous experience in security work is highly desirable, preferably in the military or police force• Regular contact with British Nationals may be required therefore fluent English is essential; Arabic would be an advantage.
• The successful candidate will be subject to confirmation of a background check and be able to be security cleared to SC/DV level.
• Applicants must have the appropriate residence status in Egypt to allow them to work.
• The successful candidate should be willing to work flexible and irregular hours if required.

Executive Secretary (Males Only)
Job Description:
1) Prepare reports, memos, letters, and any other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.2) Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messages.3) Attend meetings to record minutes.4) Greet visitors and determine whether they should be given access to specific individuals.5) Read and analyze incoming memos, submissions, and reports to determine their significance and plan their distribution.6) Perform general office duties, such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management database systems, and performing basic bookkeeping work.7) File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports.8) Handle all incoming & outgoing correspondence and respond independently when required. 9) Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email.10) Make travel arrangements for executives.
