A lack of adequate support this winter could therefore be devastating, particularly for children with existing respiratory or cardiac issues.

Save the Children are currently seeking a well-organised, enthusiastic Voucher Finance Support Assistant to support our biggest Emergency winter intervention in Egypt. Our emergency project plans to assist over 13, 000 of the most vulnerable Syrian and non-Syrian refugees, as well as Egyptian communities, in Greater Cairo through rapid voucher distributions. This three month project provides an opportunity to respond effectively and at scale to the immediate individualised needs of families. The response safeguards quality, security and speed whilst respecting the dignity and autonomy of the families we seek to assist.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Voucher Finance Support Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that appropriate internal controls are applied throughout the process of distribution and redemption of vouchers to ensure their safeguarding and minimise risks of frauds.
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reports to: Finance and Grant Officer-Emergency Program

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
• Support the programme team in tracking vouchers released ahead of each distributions to ensure the appropriate monitoring of out outgoing vouchers
• After each distribution, perform a reconciliation of vouchers distributed and vouchers released
• Reconcile vouchers physically redeemed with charges to be paid to suppliers
• Prepare supplier payment requests after reconciliation of vouchers issued and received, distribution lists and distribution reports, and ensure these are appropriately coded and authorised
• Perform monitoring visits of voucher distributions and redemption from supplier to identify and report any breaches in internal controls to the finance and programme teams
• Ensure all documentation related to the voucher process is kept in an orderly and secure manner
• Support the Emergency Finance and Grants Officer in his tasks as required
• Perform other responsibilities as agreed with line management.
