JOB DESCRIPTION

The Arab Partnership (AP) team at the British Embassy in Cairo is seeking a Programme Manager to lead delivery of the UK’s Arab Partnership programme in Egypt. The AP is the UK’s regional initiative to support reform efforts in the Arab Spring countries. In Egypt, we aim to support the transition to a prosperous, inclusive and democratic future.

The AP team sits within the Political and Economic Section of the Embassy and works closely with teams in the UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Department for International Development (DFID) in London. The AP is expanding both in staff and resources in 2013/14. Currently the portfolio is around £5 million of direct projects but we also input into nearly £70m of regional AP projects which include work in Egypt. We work with the Egyptian Ministries, the parliament, media organisations and local and international civil society groups.


Main Duties & Responsibilities:


Lead delivery of the Arab Partnership programme in Egypt in coordination with the AP Team Leader. Identify potential partners and projects in line with the strategy, developing the proposals and making recommendations to the AP Programme Board. Ensure all project cycle management requirements are completed fully and accurately. Ensure coherence and coordination with other programmes in the Embassy and support wider Embassy objectives.

The Corporate Services Section of the British Embassy requires a HR Operations Manager. This role will report to the Corporate Services Manager. The job holder will manage all HR administration services for all Embassy staff in Cairo and Alexandria. Main Duties:
• Manages, continuously develops and maintains the embassy’s accommodation, mobiles and landline, hotel and travel policies.

The role of an Area Sales Manager is to manage/ sell the earning opportunities for club members, thereby driving sales and achieving a designated sales plan. -Conducts contacts with club members with an emphasis on selling the Avon opportunity.

- Analyze business and market penetration reports to determine priority customer and club member’s growth opportunities.
Support and implement key business strategies:
- Conduct meetings to provide new club members with the knowledge of the strategies that will encourage their participation in all potential opportunities.
- Motivate, train and develop club members, Sales leaders to achieve the highest levels of earning and achieve personal goals.
